If you happen to see my amazing, talented, brave, autistic son Jack wearing his Spiderman pajama shirt everywhere he goes, don't worry. I am aware. I am aware that he wears it everyday. I am aware that he wears it in every picture. I am aware that there are certain social situations that it may not be appropriate to wear a pajama shirt... like church. I am aware that it is faded and looking worse for the wear.
Guess what... I don't care.
My sweet boy gets up every morning and lives a life that no one else can understand. He goes to school everyday and his amazing teacher MAKES. HIM. WORK. He doesn't get to sit in the back and write notes to his friends. He doesn't get to hang out with friends at lunch and recess. He has to work at making eye contact and initiating play with others when he is at lunch. He has to play with multiple objects of differing textures to become adaptable when he is at recess.
He comes home from a grueling day at school and then goes to speech therapy and occupational therapy where he has to WORK HARD for an hour two days a week. Then, he gets to be followed around by a habilitation worker for another hour a day three days a week.
If he LOVES that stupid, faded, stained shirt and it makes him feel good, I say LET. THE. KID. WEAR. IT. It doesn't seem to be offending anyone. If this one thing in life makes him happy, you'd better believe I will make sure that it is washed and sewn and ready for when he opens his little mouth and says, "Spy-er-man?" I will have it ready for him.
I am so grateful for my amazing family and friends and those who say, "I love the shirt!" Thank you for your support!

Happy 5th Birthday!!!
How awesome is that dinosaur cake with the volcano? So cool! Thanks to everyone for enjoying this special day. We had such a great celebration! Jack and Kyler are the funniest, craziest, silliest, goofiest, happiest, most ticklish, stinkiest, most loving, adorable, truly fun best friends ever!
Easter!
We had such good fun coloring Easter eggs this year. We ended up with 36 eggs! We ate hard boiled eggs for two weeks, but it was worth it!

WHAT THE HAIL????
New Pajamas!
Spring Break!

What a jam packed, fun filled spring break at the Aroca house! We were able to go to the Phoenix Zoo and see the elephant, which Kyler begged me to take a photo of... As you can see, we also stuffed our faces with sno cones, popcorn and cotton candy! We played on the computer, as you can see with Jack and his headphones! We also got into a little trouble trying to get our own cup for a nice Coke break!

Happy New Year, A Little Late...

We have been very busy lately, just don't ask me what we've been up to... I can't believe it is the end of January and I still haven't put Christmas up on my blog. No excuse! As you can see, we had a wonderful time this Christmas. Kyler got a dinosaur painting kit and gave a dinosaur to Jack to paint...who knew he'd be the next Picasso? He spent about 20 minutes making sure every detail was covered. We also made it to the Museum of Natural History aka the Dinosaur Museum. It has to be one of Kyler's favorite places. From there we headed to the Mesa Temple for the lights. It was just beautiful. We haven't been for a few years and it was a great time! Jack and Kyler are both doing well in school... I'm already freaking out over next year. Where to send them for kindergarten is so stressful! I promise to be better this year updating my blog...

Warm Weather

I feel as though fall will never make an appearance, although the evenings have been magnificent lately. We are able to play outside from 5:30 to 6:30 now... The boys are having so much fun. It is almost like Christmas again...they have all of their riding toys to play with that they haven't seen since May. Put away the pool toys and bring out the Jeep!
